For 12 out of the past 15 years, Ibaraki Prefecture has ranked last in the national Prefectural Attractiveness Rankings. In 2023, it returned to last place after two years. It made me wonder whether my beloved Ibaraki truly lacks charm, so I set out on a journey to see for myself.
During my travels, I discovered many wonderful places in Ibaraki and realized there are countless attractions that even I, as a local, and the residents of the prefecture are unaware of. While I may be an ordinary person, I hope to use this video to share Ibaraki’s appeal with as many people as possible, helping them learn about and appreciate the prefecture. I also hope this video inspires viewers to think fondly about their own hometowns.
